Something about

quiet time at 6 in the morning, while watching the sunrise at my favorite location in Norco, makes me happy. Also, it seems to always make my day THAT much better...too bad I did not do this yesterday.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, HE is rarely early, but ALWAYS on time.
God knows me so well, knows exactly what I need and when I need it. Yesterday (Monday) was not such a great day for me. I woke up at Kolin's house in such an empty feeling, all I wanted to do was go back to sleep. I found myself sitting in their family room with the TV on in the background dazing off, literally thinking about nothing. I knew I needed to be alone. My sweet boy walked me back to the guest room, where I took a few hour nap just to regather I suppose. When I re-woke I still felt in a funk.
It was five in the afternoon by the time I got on the road to head home and it wasn't until then that I realized I wasted more than half the day, either sleeping or feeling lost. I needed my love, my God to help me out.

At the base of the mountain I pulled over for a few short minutes just to pray. I prayed about everything.

You know how sometimes unanswered prayers are the best kind of prayers and other times answered prayers are? Well this time my prayer was answered, God seriously consumed me on the rest of the ride home. For the next 45 minutes it was as if my best friend was in the car with me and I was just spilling everything, every detail about the past few months, how certain things have affected me, my relationship, my walk with Him, my feelings for Kolin, my friendships, my family, you name it and I covered the topic.
Basically, I am blogging about how important alone time with God is to me.
Love you Man!

I am exhausted

beyond measures.
Here's a look into my week:
I get to house sit for my sis tomorrow until Saturday.
I plan on getting my tan on, being so close to the beach and all.
I babysat tonight, two adorable little boys that I have missed dearly.
Went to the happiest place on earth with the beautiful Heidi and charming Kaylee.
We planned something so exciting.
I plan on getting a pedicure tomorrow.
Oh and a long over due hair cut on friday. (haven't had one since January 5th) I am however bringing back the whole no coloring my hair for an entire year and I'm 4 months into my year, so far so good!
I have a planned play date on Thursday that I am SO excited for.
Saturday I get to do the lovely Kelsey's hair and make up for her prom, one last time! EEK.
Just a little side note- I've had the worst allergies the past four days its ridiculous.
Then I am off to Big Bear for Mother's day weekend.
Not really looking forward to that drive alone, but I plan on finding some rad on fire for God podcast to listen to on the way up.
God is good. Agreed? AGREED.

Deuteronomy 32:4
He is the Rock, his works are perfect, and all his ways are just. A
faithful God who does no wrong, upright and just is he.

His works are completely perfect in every possible way. This has definitely been on my heart lately. God is perfect. Nothing else is. I need to remember I am glorifying our PERFECT maker every move I make, so I better make those moves count. Every step of the way.

So there's this thing I want to talk to you about...

TRUST.

Today's chapel totally spoke to me. Dr. Micah Parker did it once again, he had me open eared and open hearted the entire service.
Something I've always had struggle with would basically be summed up in 1 Peter 5:7

"Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you."

I have always known that God needs to handle my problems, but I've never fully given them to him. That's exactly what I want and NEED to do.

Another thing Dr. Parker talked about was sorrow. We all go through at least one sorrow in life. Now I wouldn't say I've been through "horrifying" sorrow, I've had my share of "mild" sorrow I suppose, but when the day comes I know I will have my amazing maker protecting me.

Guys and gals...PLEASE just TRUST in God. If you give it all to him there will be no more looking back.

Romans 8:28 "In all things, God works for the good of those who love him."

To God:
I love you.
love: Alaina

Everything I once held dear, I count it all as loss.

Lead me to the cross, where your love poured out.

Bring me to my knees, Lord I lay me down.
Rid me of myself, I belong to you.

ah. yes.

Somthing that's been on my heart

1 John 4:21

Talks about loving one another. Something I've always thought I've done, but really if I'm honest with myself I think I love all, but I find that I don't love them as much if I've had to "forgive" them.

Like I'm holding a grudge. And that isn't like me.

I've forgiven for the moment and then just stuff it back in the corner of my mind until it just so eagerly happens to come up again and BAM there it is, heavier and more distraught than before.

I don't want this burden on me any longer.

So here God, take me and heal me. Help me forgive past events/past people/past actions and let me love them FULLY.

wow

I feel like a fool for complaining about walking across campus. At least I have legs. But, Nick you and I do share a common interest...an undying love for OUR GOD and through him we can do anything.

Thanks daddy for sending me this video. I sure do love you.

Baking

some yummy goodies.
I woke up at 11 today, what a delight to sleep in.
Went to lunch with my lovely friend Hannah, where we sat with Chris and Megan. Had some interesting conversations, to say the least.
After lunch, Hannah and I went on a bike/roller blade ride around campus.
Once Hannah's ankles started hurting she went back and I took some time to myself and rode a little longer.
I was in a "working out" mood today.
I rode to the boys plays. He's sweet.
We laid and watched Modern Family. A new show his oldest brother raved about and I must say it was pretty funny. It actually reminds me of The Office, only instead of being based in an office, it's based in homes.
Then we got a call from his dad to go on a mission for some candy bars.
After not being able to find the right kind, he kindly dropped me back off at my apartment and we parted ways. I decided not to go up to his parents this weekend and take some time to myself.
But I do miss him.
I dozed off for a bit.
Then woke up to give Nicho a hair cut. Him and his girlfriend are absolutely precious.
I went to dinner with Andrew and his friends. There was yummy chili in the caf tonight.
Ever since then I've sorta just been lazy.
Not much of an exciting Friday, but it sure does feel good to not have to do anything or be anywhere for once.

I was reminded by a darling new friend of mine today that; HE is rarely early, but ALWAYS on time.
God, you are there in my living. There in my breathing. Thank you.
