this past weekend my mama k, aka kolin's mom told me a quote by Paul Newman and I loved it, but for the life of me could not remember it. So of course I googled his quotes and some of them, no most of them are steak sauce.
"We are such spendthrifts with our lives, the trick of living is to slip on and off the planet with the least fuss you can muster. I’m not running for sainthood. I just happen to think that in life we need to be a little like the farmer, who puts back into the soil what he takes out."
"I don't like to discuss my marriage, but I will tell you something which may sound corny but which happens to be true. I have steak at home. Why should I go out for hamburger?"
"I never ask my wife about my flaws. Instead I try to get her to ignore them and concentrate on my sense of humor. You don't want any woman to look under the carpet, guys, because there's lots of flaws underneath. Joanne believes my character in a film we did together, 'Mr. and Mrs. Bridge' comes closest to who I really am. I personally don't think there's one character who comes close . . . but I learned a long time ago not to disagree on things that I don't have a solid opinion about."
"The embarrassing thing is that my salad dressing is out-grossing my films."
I guess it's true what "they" say about how the time goes by faster the older you grow. After last night (a long night of me being home sick alone) I have decided to try my best to take care of my body in every way, shape, and form. Meaning I WILL take vitamins daily, eat a big hefty breakfast and all my fruits and veggies for the day.
It's about time, don'tcha think?
Here's to great health and plenty of love along the way.
Here is a sweet little prayer from an old friend...
"Heavenly Father, I pray that you bring peace, calm, and joy into Alaina's heart and mind. Free her from the burden's she is carrying, and allow her to lay everything at the foot of the cross. Build her up in YOUR strength, and empower her to conquer the world through Your Spirit. Amen."
