Here's the first few pics of the summer

Ps. I rolled over in bed, scratched my nose, noticed my nose ring fell out, had to put it back in, totally heard the snap of my skin while doing so. OUCH.

Something Good This Way Comes

SUCH a good movie.
Watched it for the first time tonight at Danny's, which by the way Danny you make delicious food and all of us were stuffed to goodness.
If I weren't a girl I'd do what "Alexander" does in this movie. Actually I take that back, who cares if I'm a girl, I won't do it because I wouldn't want to frighten my loved ones. But boy would I if I didn't care about hurting anyones feelings.
School is out. YES.
Going here tomorrow with Kristin
Here with Kolin
and possibly here with some friends.

here's to happiness

10 things that make Alaina terribly happy:
  1. singing at the top of my lungs with the windows rolled down in the car
  2. the satisfaction of finishing my designs with time to spare
  3. chai latte with soy milk, warm or iced
  4. sharing a smile with a stranger
  5. laying on my mexican blanket on the front lawn
  6. polaroids
  7. my bike, riding through giant puddles
  8. jacuzzi's
  9. anything by Jakob Dylan
  10. receiving postcards

Fordham Player's 'Superman' Leap

I'll open with:

2 Thessalonians 2:16-17 May our Lord Jesus Christ himself and God our Father, who loved us and by his grace gave us eternal encouragement and good hope, encourage your hearts and strengthen you in every good deed and word.
TODAY:

  • (early morning) I turned in my RA application for the summer. YAY! Keep me in your prayers, I find out the 28th if I get it or not. Fingers crossed
  • (early afternoon) My family came to lunch with Kolin and I, and for some reason I haven't had much of an appetite lately, which if you know me, it isn't likely to find my plate with food on it at the end of the meal. This is off subject, but PS. Thanks mama for the new shirt you bought me today, it was awfully nice of you!
  • (afternoon) I had my last class of this semester, typography. All I have to say about that class is GRR. -_- <-- that's suppose to be a mad face.
  • (late afternoon) After my class, I went to Danny's to get some help with the designs I have to do by monday as our last hoora for typography. After we got 1 out of 3 designs done we went to the caf. Amazing job CBU tonight's BBQ was so DELICIOUS, I made up for my earlier mentioning of not having an appetite at this meal.
  • (evening) I went to visit the boy, before his long night of homework (still sad you weren't able to make it to the concert handsome) He was sweet enough to buy my ticket to the Tyrone Wells and Augustana concert  though! Which I went to with some lovely friends of mine. Let me tell you a little about my homeboy Tyrone...he was nothing short of extraordinary. His lyrics are witty and passionate. I can't for the life of me, remember where I have seen him open up for someone though and it's bugging me more than you know! Augustana was just as wonderful! I don't know what it is, but I tend to like the opening act more so than the main performance every time. Nothin personal boys.

  • (evening continued) A few of us left the concert a little early to get some studying done (they did), visit others (me) that's when I went back to Kolin's and watched an SNL episode for the 3rd time and it never get's old. I still can't get enough of Zach Galifianakis! Such a funny dude.
  • (LATE evening) I went to the caf around midnight for some coffee and the help of Danny to work on my designs. Just a side note Danny, I've learned more from you today then I have all semester in that awful, awful class! THANK YOU.
  • (NOW) I'm up due to drinking a cup (dixie cup size) of coffee. It seriously wired me. I guess that's what happens when you don't normally drink coffee.
Thank goodness I can sleep in tomorrow.

Happy To Report:

I am CANCER FREE!!

I only told a few so it wouldn't worry, but I had some skin removed on my leg about a month ago. It was in fact cancerus, but it's away, far, far away now!
Thank you Jesus.
And thank you to those that I told and trusted not to tell others.
And the prayer!!!

Seriously, ladies and gentlemen, GOD is SO GOOD.

Or in my case, PRAY and then act.
I used to be horrible at thinking before acting, absolutely horrible.
Even in my conversations, I'd say something that I wouldn't realize until after the conversation was done, that it shouldn't have been said. I am far from perfecting this, but I sure have improved.
Thank you Jesus!

UGH

STRESSED to the MAX.
This is all I have so far of my Menu Design...DUE TOMORROW. I can do this completely, but I'd rather be else where. And Blogging isn't exactly helping the finishing process, but I've been working on my 15 page paper, my last Design Philosophy and editing photos. I think I deserve a break.
Oh and part of my break consisted of a trip to my happy place, aka Target. Got a few cute dresses, my daddy even picked one out for me. How precious.
On a lighter note...
A few things to look forward to:
Chapel with Taylor Welch.
Typography to be OVER with.
The Orange Groves/Open Field Photo shoot.
Danny making dinner for us.
Dancing.
Sleepover.
yes. yes. yes.

Photo shoot

this afternoon with Danny, Brittany, and Gabby at the Orange Groves in Riverside. Here's just one of the many pictures I took. We had tons of fun, but it was FREEZING. Poor Britt and I couldn't feel our hands! But it was COMPLETELY worth it.

Two weeks left

Of my sophomore year at CBU!! It's gone by so fast, it's insane how time flys when you're having fun.
It's a bitter sweet feeling for it to end. I'm stoked on summer and all the plans I've made, but I'll miss everyone dearly.
And sorry mom and dad, I'm not lookin forward to movin back, except for the randomness of our family that I miss so much.
Here's just a preview of my summer:
•BEACH
•RIVER
•MOUNTAINS
•San Fran
•Road trip up North
•Baseball games
•Volunteer work
•Weddings
•Gym
•BBQ's
•Late night Denny trips
•Trick or treating (yes in the summer time)
•Beach volleyball
•Camping
•Disneyland
•OCC
•Bike rides
•And TONS of adventures!!
Oh and PS.

This is what I've been waking up to this weekend.

I love this lil guy.
Today was such a great day.
INDEED.

Since I randomly woke up and can't sleep...

I thought I would share this picture. It's probably my favorite picture of these two swell dudes.
My brother in law & Kolin cruisin in the smurf van, which looks like this on the outside.

Gotta love it.
